Desperate Writers was my first foray onto the stage in Los Angeles. It was such a great and hilarious experience, immediately put me on the radar with one of the biggest stage casting directors in town, and I met some of the coolest and funniest folks in L.A.. It was directed by Kay Cole – Broadway’s original Maggie in A Chorus Line – and I played David, one of the two aforementioned desperate writers. We opened the world premiere at the EdgeMar Arts Center (a terrific space by the coast in Santa Monica) and the show has since toured the country, is still available for liscensing, and enjoyed a short off-Broadway run in 2011.
